Today was harvest day in the grass is greener garden!... kind of ... four gorgeous radishes fresh from the garden + i was crazy excited...
i'd never seen radishes grow before so it was a bit of a treat for me seeing them make their way through the dirt *beam* arent they amazing!?!

why doesnt milk come in glass bottles any more?
it looks better. it tastes better. its colder. you can reuse the bottles.... i miss it *pout*
i miss it so much that ive kept my 'store below 4c . 600ml . wash and return' glass bottle through 4 moves... and this winter i've been feeling so nostalgic that ive started pouring carton milk into the bottle... i may only be a couple of cold mornings away from planting milk at the front door before i go to bed so i can bring it in for breakfast.
surely theres someone out there still selling organic non homogenised milk in glass bottles... surely...?
i know its not officially winter yet, but theres a distinct *brrrr* factor to the mornings which tells me that winter proper cant be far off. so ive been bustling about building little warmth nests, winter-proofing the house and cooking like my food supply could run out any day now...because winters coming! *panic* and i could not survive winter without...
stewed rhubarb and creamy oats. I must dream about it because i wake up thinking about it and I honestly believe that if i didnt have this waiting for me every morning this winter id just stay in bed and hibernate.

i loooovveeee easter! it includes so many of my favorite things.. bunnies, chocolate, hot cross buns *grin* and i really wanted to do something fancy and creative this year like paint my own eggs or make my own chocolate bilbies... but i didnt *frown* thankfully there are some inspiring chocolatiers using organic ingredients and fair trade practices to make some tasty tasty chocolate *yum*...
